We’ve all seen it (and done it): the famous bathroom/mirror picture. At this point, it’s nearly unavoidable. As a mother, I know we want to still feel sexy and show that we still have what it takes to compete, but when does it go too far? I’ll be glad to tell you. Snapping a sexy picture of yourself with your toddler in the picture is inappropriate! MOMS, get a hold of yourself please! It’s one thing to be a M.I.L.F. posing with your adorable child(ren), but it’s a totally different feeling and message sent when I see this-exhibit A:
This is never, ever, ever, ever APPROPRIATE. I’m not here to judge, as I am and will always be a work in progress, but this is definitely taking things too far. As a woman, as a mother, as a tax-paying citizen, this is offensive and repulsive. Please don’t make me place you in the category of “people who shouldn’t have children.”
Being a mother is a huge responsibility, and the “I am not a role model” marketing campaign does not apply here. It is your responsibility to be an example of what a woman should be. If this were the twilight zone, perhaps this display of behavior would be acceptable. However, while residing in modern day America, let’s keep the kiddies out of these photos, let’s trim the bush and let’s tighten that tummy up!
Come on Mommy, you can do it! You’re better than this and if you don’t believe it for yourself allow me to believe it for you until you get the message.
